Meet Dr. Kate!

Dr. Katherine Dougherty-Basila completed her residency at Albany Medical College in Rochester, NY, in 2007. Dr. Kate has a special interest in community advocacy and addressing the medical & emotional issues associated with adoption and foster care. Her practice philosophy is to provide excellent, individualized, evidence-based care to all patients. She does this through forming relationships with patients and their caregivers because it is important to listen to the needs of patients and their parents when developing a care plan that is right for each individual patient.

Dr. Kate is married to Dr. Dennis Basila and they have 3 children: Jack, Max, & Teddy. She especially looks forward to attending her children's sporting events, which include baseball and basketball. She also enjoys reading, attending live theatre, and rooting for the Buffalo Bills and Boston Red Sox!
